These systems were designed to handle tens of millions of requests per day with sub-10ms latency in a production environment. Jeff oversaw the construction of a large-scale entity resolution search system, which included billions of entities. This system was designed to incorporate traditional elastic search for voice-first search, and it pioneered the use of machine learning-based vector search for Alexa.
